Day 1: Arrival—check-in at your hotel

On arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be met by our company representative, who will transfer you to your booked hotel. Check-in and have a late lunch and spend the evening relaxing at the hotel. Dinner and overnight at Papyrus Guesthouse for budget/best western garden hotel for mid-range

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (8-9 hours’ drive)

After breakfast, check out, meet your safari driver, and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. It’s an 8–9-9 hours’ drive with en route lunch and a stop at the Uganda Equator. Upon arrival at the park, check in at the lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Community Rest Camp for budget/Buhoma Haven Lodge for mid-range/Mahognay Springs Lodge for luxury

Day 3: Gorilla trekking experience and Batwa community tour

After your breakfast at the lodge, transfer to the park offices for a briefing about mountain gorilla trekking by a local guide. The time is between 2 and 8 hours, depending on the movement of the gorillas. After an hour with gorillas, your guide and rangers will lead us back to the starting point, where your driver will be waiting for you to return to the lodge.

Later in the afternoon, participate in a community tour, explore the Batwa community tour, and gain a deeper understanding of the pygmies of Uganda who lived in the forest. Dinner and overnight at the lodge as above.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha sector

After breakfast early in the morning, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, drive via the Ishasha sector for an opportunity to spot the tree-climbing lions en route, then embark on your 4-5-hour journey to Bwindi National Park. Arrive in the park late afternoon and connect to your lodge for relaxation. Day 5: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise.

You will wake up early and head out for an early morning game drive to catch up with the early risers. Explore the Kasenyi sector—a known mating ground for kobs and a hunting ground for lions. While on the game drive, expect to see some of the big four, including lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and also different species of antelopes, warthogs, and white Colobus monkeys, just to mention a few.

You will then return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will go for a launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you will get an opportunity to see a number of bird species, including elephants and buffalos, hippos, and crocodiles at the lakeshores. Return and relax at the lodge as above.

Day 6: Transfer to Kibale National Park via Kasenda Crater Lakes

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and make your way to Kibale National Park, a 3-4 hour drive that includes an en-route lunch, a visit to the exploration crater lakes, and a hike to the top of the world. Connect to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Chimpanzee Guesthouse for mid-range/Isunga Lodge for budget/Chimpundu Lodge for luxury.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking—Bigodi Swamp

Get up early, drive to the briefing point in Kibale Forest, and then head into the forest to search for the exuberant chimpanzee groups. Tracking chimpanzees in their natural habitat as they swing from the branches in the canopy high above the forest floor is a thrilling experience. Though they can be difficult to spot, you will be in no doubt of their presence as the forest is alive with their noisy calls. Spend an hour in their presence. After trekking, go for a swamp walk in Bigodi Swamp—one of the richest swamps with birds and primates like baboons, red-tailed monkeys, and black and white monkeys, among others. Day 8: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park (6-7 hours’ drive)

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and make your way to Murchison Falls National Park, a 6-7 hour drive that includes a lunch stop en route. Enter the park through the Kichumbanyobo gate from Masindi town, then proceed to visit the top of the falls before returning to your lodge for rest. Day 9: Morning game drive and launch cruise along the Nile

Have an early morning breakfast before embarking on a morning game drive in the delta, where you can potentially spot various animal species such as elephants, giraffes, lions, and Uganda kobs, among others.

After returning and having lunch, you will embark on a launch cruise at the bottom of the Murchison Falls along the Nile at 2 pm. During this cruise, you will enjoy sweeping views of hippo and serried ranges of crocodiles along the sandbanks, as well as witnessing a multitude of different species coming down to drink and bathe. After the boat cruise at the bottom of the falls, drive back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight at the lodge as described above.

Day 10: Ziwa rhino tracking—transfer to Entebbe

Wake up at leisure, have breakfast, then check out of the lodge and connect to the Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking. You will have a briefing about the activity and walk to find the rhinos; this will take 1-2 hours. After on-foot rhino tracking, proceed back to Kampala/Entebbe with en-route lunch. The driver will drop you off at your hotel in Entebbe/Kampala or be dropped off at the airport for your onwards flight back home.
