Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Your guide will pick you up from the airport or your hotel in Arusha and welcome you for your safari. You will have a short briefing about the safari and drive to your hotel in Arusha, where you will spend the night.

Day 2: Drive to Tarangire National Park, Optional Night Game Drive

You will have breakfast at your hotel as you prepare to drive to Tarangire National Park, which is also found in the northern part of Tanzania. Tarangire National Park is known for having large herds of elephants as well as ancient baobab trees.

You will check-in at your lodge in Tarangire National Park as you prepare for lunch and an afternoon game drive. During your game drive in the national park, you will search for wildlife species such as gazelles, impalas, zebras, and waterbucks, among others, as well as the various bird species that this national park is known for. You will enjoy watching the sunsets in the wilderness of the national park, and your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Walking Safari in Tarangire National Park

After a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge, you shall head out for a guided walking safari in Tarangire National Park. This activity will allow you to get up close and personal with nature and animals in Tarangire National Park, all under the guidance of a ranger guide and your tour guide. Enjoy your lunch in the wild over a picnic. Have a game drive yet again, and then return to the lodge. Relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay as above.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Drive

Breakfast will be served at your lodge as you prepare for your transfer to the Ngorongoro conservation area. You will also have an optional stop at Ol Duvai Gorge. After lunch, you will descend into the crater and visit Lake Magadi, located in its centre. You will also search for various wildlife species such as elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeests, and zebras, as well as flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi. As you enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ngorongoro, your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast at your lodge, your guide will drive you to Serengeti National Park, which is also located in the northern part of Tanzania. You will enjoy searching for wildlife species such as the Big 5 (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalos) during your safari in the national park.

You will have lunch after checking in at your lodge in the national park. You will also participate in an evening game drive to witness a variety of wildlife species, including zebras, lions, buffalos, elephants, giraffes, elands, impalas, and antelopes. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 6: Hot Air Balloon Ride, Game Drive

Wake up early for your hot air balloon experience over the plains of the Serengeti. Watch how the hot air balloon is prepared, and get onto one to soar over the park. Look out for various wildlife in the park, as well as watch one of the most beautiful sun rises. Climax your experience with a champagne bush breakfast.

Day 7: Full-day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

You will start your day with breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti National Park as you prepare for your morning game drive. You will also enjoy seeing a variety of wildlife species, which are very active during the morning and can be seen grazing around the national park.

After your morning game drive, you will enjoy lunch before embarking on another game drive. During this game drive, you will have the opportunity to observe various wildlife species grazing in the open savannah of Serengeti National Park, such as elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, impalas, gazelles, buffalos, elands, antelopes, zebras, wildebeests, and hippos, among others. You will have dinner and an overnight stay as above.

Day 8: Drive to Arusha

After having breakfast at your lodge, you will start your drive from Serengeti National Park to Arusha, which takes about 7 hours. You will have dinner and spend the night at the hotel.

Day 9: Waterfalls and Coffee Tour

Your breakfast will be served at your hotel ahead of your experience at the waterfalls found about 3 hours from Arusha town. On this day, take part in a coffee tour and visit the plantation to understand the process of making coffee from the plantation to the cup.

You will also enjoy making your own coffee and after this coffee tour, your guide will drive you back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay as above.

Day 10: Flight to Zanzibar

After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, you will proceed to transfer to Arusha airport for your flight to Zanzibar Island. You will be picked up from the airport in Zanzibar upon arrival and driven to your hotel for check-in. You will spend the rest of the day relaxing at the beach. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 11: Stone Town, Prison Island, and Spice Tour

You will also take a private boat from Stone Town to Changuu Island, also known as Prison Island, where you can enjoy seeing the giant tortoises and snorkeling during your island tour. You will take a boat back from Changuu Island back to Stone Town. On this day, you will also participate in a spice tour, exploring the plantations where you will encounter various exotic spices and learn about their uses, including cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg, among others. After the spice tour, you will return to your hotel for dinner and to spend the night as above.

Day 12: Zanzibar Beach Experience

You will have a day to relax at the white sand beaches of Zanzibar Island and enjoy views of the Indian Ocean. Dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 13: Safari Blue Experience

You will enjoy the best boat tour on the island, which is a truly amazing experience sailing in the beautiful traditional Dhows. You will enjoy a boat ride, a delicious buffet and drinks, fresh tropical fruits and snacks, snorkelling, and also visit Menai Bay.
