Our 3 Days Hiking Mount Rwenzori Tour will lead you to Rwenzori Mountains National Park. This is one of the most sought after things to do in the western part of Uganda. It is a wonderful amazing experience to hike the mountains of the moon. This stretches up to(5,109m) above sea level there are several circuits taken to reach the summit of the famous glaciers mountain in the country. The mountain is strategically placed south of the equator with a snow cap at the top. Along the slopes is a beautiful growing vegetation cover forming the popular Rwenzori Mountains National Park with in which are several animal species that call this home.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Rwenzori National Park

Upon arrival a Salt Holidays guide representative will transfer you to thenational park, the drive will pass via Kasese town takig approximately 7 hours drive to reach the destination, we will have lunch eroute proceeding through the beautiful crater lakes region, the land scape is amazing and angelic to view, arriving for dinner and stayig overnight at the

Day 2: Hike the Rwenzori Mountains

Beginning at the park headquarters, you will have an early morning briefing after which we will begin the hike, there is a possibility of hiring a guide and a porter, begging from the banana plantations, we will head into the forest passing via the banana plantations and farm lands of the bakonjo people, the trail passes through an open beautiful fern vegetative growth, enroute there are chances of meeting animals of the park, primates and birds for example the greater blue turaco, as you approach the sine camp. You will have magnificent views of the forest, dinner and staying overnight will be at the camp.

Day 3: Descend the Mountain and Transfer to Kampala

Following an early morning breakfast, you will descend back to the foot hills of the mountain meeting your guide who will transfer you to Entebbe of Kampala for departure.
