Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pickup, Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park Game Drive and Walking Safari

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha, welcome you to the safari, and after a brief briefing, you will begin your journey to Lake Manyara National Park. You will enjoy an amazing introduction to the Tanzania wildlife with a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. After your picnic lunch, take a guided nature walk to explore the park’s natural surroundings and take in the breathtaking views.

After the nature walk, you will be driven to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Drive to Serengeti National Park

You will have an early breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for your transfer to Serengeti National Park.

After lunch, you will embark on a late afternoon game drive to search for wildlife species in the Savannah Plains, including the big five: elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, and rhinos. You will also enjoy the stunning scenery, including the kopjes, where lions can be seen watching their prey. You will proceed to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

You will have an early breakfast at your lodge, and your guide will drive you on a morning game viewing experience around the central part of Serengeti National Park, where you will search for wildlife species like lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, impalas, gazelles, kudu, and rhinos, among others.

After enjoying your picnic lunch in the wilderness, you will embark on an afternoon game drive around Serengeti National Park, keeping an eye out for various wildlife species. Afterwards, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Drive

After breakfast at the camp, you will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. With your packed lunch, you will descend the 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater for amazing wildlife viewing opportunities and to enjoy the beautiful scenery, including the big 5 Ngorongoro animals.

You will look out for a variety of wildlife species, which include wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants, as well as predators such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopards. After the game drive, you will proceed to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Tarangire National Park and Departure

On this last day of your 5-day Tanzania Safari, you shall have your breakfast at the lodge and, with your lunch boxes, drive to Tarangire National Park for an amazing half-day wild game viewing experience before the sunrise.  Look out for other animals in the park like zebras, giraffes, lions, large herds of elephants, which the park is famous for, and so much more.

Enjoy lunch in the wilderness and another game viewing opportunity as you leave the park, driving back and dropping you off at the airport in time for your outbound flight or hotel in Arusha. This brings your 5-day Tanzania Safari to an end.
