Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and drive to Ngorongoro crater

Your guide will pick you up and welcome you for your safari. You will also have a short briefing of the safari before proceeding to the Ngorongoro conservation area. At this destination, you will visit the world’s largest inactive caldera, which is the Ngorongoro crater. During a game drive around the Ngorongoro crater, you will see numerous wildlife species, such as wildebeests, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, antelopes, elephants, gazelles, and impalas, among others.

Ngorongoro Crater is also home to a variety of bird species, such as flamingos, which can be seen along the shores of Lake Magadi. After this experience at the Ngorongoro crater, your guide will drive you back to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Karatu Tented Lodge.

Day 2: Drive to Ndutu

After breakfast at your lodge, you will check out and drive northwards to the Ndutu area for more wildlife viewing experiences. During the calving season, which takes place in this area, you can enjoy seeing over 2 million wildebeests spread across the grassy plains. There are also over 8000 calves that are born on a daily basis in the Ndutu area around January, February, and early March.

You will have lunch at your lodge in the Ndutu area before another game viewing experience. You will spot wildlife species like lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, elephants, giraffes, and zebras, among others. You will have dinner and spend the night at your lodge after the game drive at Ndutu Migration Camp.

Day 3: Drive to Serengeti National Park, evening game drive

You will have breakfast ahead of your safari to the Seronera area, which is in the central part of Serengeti National Park. During your safari in this part of the national park, you will see different wildlife species, such as the Big 5, which includes elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalos.

After checking in at your lodge in Serengeti National Park, you will prepare to have your lunch.  You will engage in an evening game drive to explore the Seronera area and its different attractions as you look out for different wildlife species. Day 4: Full day in Serengeti National Park

Breakfast will be served at your lodge as you prepare to have a full day of exploring Serengeti National Park. You will engage in a morning game drive as you drive around the savannah plains of the national park in search of the wildlife species grazing and roaming in Serengeti National Park, such as wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, lions, leopards, buffalos, hippos, giraffes, impalas, cheetahs, elephants, gazelles, waterbucks, and many others. You will enjoy your packed lunches after your morning game drives.

During your afternoon game drive, you will have the opportunity to observe various wildlife species and explore the kopjes, which are rock outcrops in the Serengeti National Park, including the Simba kopjes, where you can witness lions. After your afternoon game drive, your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night at Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 5: Drive to Arusha

On the final day of your safari, after breakfast at your lodge in the Serengeti National Park, you will embark on an en route game drive in the park before returning to Arusha. Your guide will then drop you off at your hotel in Arusha, concluding your 5-day safari in Tanzania
