Detailed Itinerary of 5 Days Serengeti and Masai Mara Safari

Day 1: Transfer to Serengeti National Park, Game Drive

Drive Time: Approx. 7 hours. Flight option available

Your Tanzania safari guide shall pick you from your hotel of stay in Arusha, and welcome you for the safari. He will brief you and proceed to transfer to the Serengeti national park through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you drive to the lodge in the park look out for an opportunity to see some of the various wild game of the park. Enjoy seeing a variety of animals as you drive to your lodge later, for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, you will enjoy a full day to explore the Serengeti National Park and join a game drive while looking for wildlife such as giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, lions, leopards, elands, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, cheetahs, among others.

You can also enjoy your lunch in the wilderness and later engage in another game drive while searching for wildlife like elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, buffaloes among others. Your guide will take you back to the lodge later. Dinner and night at the lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Masai Mara Reserve, En-route Game Viewing

After breakfast the lodge, proceed to drive to Masai Mara Reserve Kenya via Isebania border where your Kenya safari guide shall meet you once again. Proceed to the lodge as you look out for amazing wild game in the reserve, including some herds of wildebeests in Masai Mara National Reserve as well. Dinner and overnight stay at Sentrim Mara Camp for Budget, Mara Sopa Lodge for Mid-range.

Day 4: Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara National Reserve Kenya

You will have an early breakfast at your lodge ahead of a full day of wildlife viewing. After breakfast, you will drive around the Masai Mara national reserve where you will search for various wildlife species such as wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, impalas, gazelles, giraffes, waterbucks, hippos among others, on a full day game drive in the reserve, punctuated with a picnic lunch. Chase the sunset as you drive to your camp. Dinner and an overnight stay as above.

Day 5: Masai Cultural Tour, Departure

After an early breakfast, your guide shall proceed leave the park by 10am, and get to enjoy a cultural tour interacting with the Maasai tribe learning their culture and way of life, as well as buy souvenirs for yourselves. Enjoy your packed lunch and then proceed to transfer you to Nairobi arriving in time at the NBO in time for your flight, or hotel of stay, ending your 5 Days Serengeti and Masai Mara Safari.
