15 Days of Luxury Tanzania Uganda and Kenya Flying Safari : This Safari is a well-curated safari package that combines four of the top tourist destinations in East Africa. Offering the most interesting primate tours, including mountain gorilla trekking in Uganda with a chance to enjoy the habituation and trekking activities, combined with a wildlife safari in the Lake Masai Mara National Reserve and Amboseli National Park in Kenya, plus a visit to the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. This tour is best done during the peak season when you will be able to witness the great wildebeest migration of the Masai Mara and Serengeti corridor on the Mara River. Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Fly into Serengeti National Park with Auric Air.

Depending on your location in Arusha, connect to Kilimanjaro airport to check in for your flight to Serengeti National Park. The flight departs Kilimanjaro at 10:30 am and arrives at Seronera at 12:05 hours. Upon arrival at Seronera airstrip, meet your safari driver and connect to your booked lodge with en-route game viewing. Check in for dinner and an overnight stay at Serengeti Serena Lodge.

Day 2: Game drives in Central Serengeti

After breakfast, explore Serengeti National Park on different game drives and see the big cats walking at dawn to look for the prey of the day and many more animals like hyenas, zebras, impalas, African wild dogs, serval cats, ostriches, secretary birds, kori bustards, martial eagles, and many more.

Also witness the great wildebeest migration experience in the northern part of Serengeti National Park. All meals and accommodation stay as planned above.

Day 3: Northern Serengeti witnessing the great wildebeest migration.

Have an early breakfast, get parked lunch and go for a full-day game drive. We start from the far north around the Mara River in case you came in the opposite month when the migration will start from the Serengeti after missing it from the Mara, Kenya side. Now this will be your turn to enjoy the best. Spend the whole day looking for these animals, like hippos, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, antelopes, hartebeests, and zebras, to mention but a few. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at the lodge above.

Day 4: Check-out—flight from Serenora back to Kilimanjaro 

After breakfast, meet your driver and connect back at Seronera Airstrip for your return flight back to Kilimanjaro Airport. Upon arrival, meet your driver and connect to your booked hotel in Arusha. Dinner and overnight stay at Gran Melia Hotel.

Day 5: Flight from Kilimanjaro to Uganda (own booked flight)

After breakfast, depending on your own booked flight schedule, the driver will meet you and connect you to Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward flight to Uganda. Upon arrival at Entebbe airport, connect to your booked hotel in Entebbe for check-in at Protea Entebbe Hotel.

Day 6: Fly to Kisoro Airstrip

After breakfast, connect to check in for your onward flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Flights with Aerolink Uganda operate daily at the Kisoro airstrip. It’s about a 2-hour’ flight, depending on the routing provided. Flights to Kisoro airstrip operate twice a day, in the morning from Entebbe at 7:00 am or 10:30 am.

Upon arrival at Kisoro airstrip, meet your driver guide and drive to your booked lodge for check-in. Dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla Leisure Lodge/Clouds Gorilla Lodge.

Day 7: Gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Enjoy early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for briefing by the ranger guides and later head into the forest for your trek. Gorilla habituation in Bwindi involves visiting a semi-habituated gorilla family that is under the process of habituation. This activity takes a whole day and you are granted 4 hours to stay with the gorillas. After the habituation experience, meet your guide and drive back to your lodge to rest. Dinner and overnight at lodge as above.

Day 8: Batwa community tour—transfer to Kisoro

After breakfast, meet your safari guide to check out of the lodge. Drive to Kisoro, which is about a 2-hour drive from Bwindi Forest. Upon arrival, check in for lunch at your booked lodge and spend your afternoon relaxing at the lodge with a great view. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Mutanda Resort /Gahinga Lodge.

Day 9: Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga National Park

Enjoy early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for briefing by the ranger guides and later head into the forest for your trek. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi takes 2 to 8 hours, depending on the movement of the gorillas. These primates roam the park freely and there is no way of telling where they will be on a particular day. On finding them, you will be allowed 1 hour to view and take photos of these gentle primates, enjoy your lunch packs and meet your driver/guide and transfer back to your lodge.

Day 10: Flight from Kisoro to Entebbe—Fly to Nairobi—Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (own booked flight)

After breakfast, meet your driver and drive to Kisoro airstrip. Check in for departure at either 8:25 am or 12:05 pm from Kisoro to Entebbe airport. Upon arrival at Entebbe airport at either 11:25 am or 14:25 hours, respectively, check in for your onward flight to Kenya—Nairobi. Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, meet your driver and connect to check in at your hotel in Nairobi. Serena Hotel/Tamarind Hotel.

Day 11: Fly to Amboseli National Park.

After breakfast, connect to Wilson Airport to check in for your flight to Amboseli National Park. Flight departing at 7:30 am. Upon arrival at 8:05, meet your safari guide and connect for a game drive. This park offers the opportunity to find predators either hunting or feeding on their prey. After the morning game drive, connect to your lodge for check-in, have lunch, and spend your afternoon relaxing at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at Kibo Safari Lodge/Amboseli Serena Lodge.

Day 12: Full-day game drive in Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, explore the park on game-viewing drives in the morning and afternoon, scenery viewing, and relaxation. This park offers the opportunity to find predators either hunting or feeding on their prey. You will have your picnic lunch box while on the game drive to connect for an afternoon game drive while observing the hill offering spectacular 360-degree views throughout the park with its arid areas, marshes, and lakes, and on a clear day, Mount Kilimanjaro. In the evening, the clouds are usually vividly giving you chances of viewing the snow-capped dome of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in Africa. As you return to the lodge.

Day 13: Flight from Nairobi Wilson Airport to Maasai Mara National Reserve – afternoon/evening game drive

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and connect to the airstrip to connect for your flight departing Ambosebi airstrip at 8:15 hours. Upon arrival at Wilson Airport at 8:50 hours, connect for your onward flight to Masai Mara National Park departing Wilson Airport at 10:30 am.

Upon arrival at 11:10 am, connect for an afternoon/evening game drive as you proceed to your booked lodge for check-in, lunch, and relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at Neptune Mara Rianta luxury lodge.

Day 14: Hot air balloon safari and full-day game drive

After breakfast, connect for your morning game drive in the Masai mara plains with your packed lunch in search of its popular Masai Mara residents. The Masai Mara plains are full of wildebeest during migration season (early July to end of September), zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, Thomson’s gazelle, leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and bat-eared foxes. Black rhinos are a little shy and hard to spot but are often seen at a distance if you are lucky. Hippos are abundant in the Mara River, as are very large Nile crocodiles, which lie in wait for a meal as the wildebeest cross on their annual quest to find new pastures. Later Meals and overnight at lodge as above.

Day 15: Flight from Jomo International back home

After breakfast and depending on your return flight schedule, you will connect to the airport for your flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, connect for your onward departure flight back home, marking the end of your flying safari.
