Uganda Wildlife Education Center is one of the most visited places of Entebbe City. The Entebbe zoo is a place of collection of animals that have been rescued from poachers, hunters, orphaned baby wildlife species, they are taken care of and grow within the sanctuary, the zoo stands out to be a familiar feature in Uganda it is the only one in the country situated on 72 acres of land, the place has been designed with networking connecting routes to different animal points, the center is a known research and breeding center and given its ideal location it is easy to get to over the week end and enjoy wildlife here.

The Uganda Wildlife Education Center was established in the 1950 as a place of orphaned animals, it was founded by the colonial government to act as a reserve where an amalgamation of animal species could be collected this center is operated as a zoo where people go to see caged wildlife, the zoo is very popular for the rich biodiversity of animals, it is home to Zebras, baboons, ostriches, cheetahs, tigers, hyenas, kobs, chimpanzee, vervet monkeys, olive baboons, red tailed monkeys, warthogs, black and white colobus monkeys, topis, and the critically endangered shoe bill stock together with other birds.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pickup and Transfer To The Uganda Wildlife Education Center

On this day you will be picked by our company representative who will transfer you to Entebbe, the zoo opens by 8:00am,  you will be allowed into the premises until 6:00pm, on arrival, you will be guided by one of the experienced guides of the center, to experience behind the scenes tour of the area, it is a much more interesting way of enjoying the wonderful wildlife kept here, this offers visitors an opportunity to meet animals up close, imagine being allowed to feed giraffes, the experience is worth learning.

You will choose an option of how you would like you’re behind the scenes tour to be like, either to be the guide of the day in this case you will take care of the animals, or once you choose ro be the keeper of the day you will go through the footsteps of a day to day life of the keeper at the zoo area. Other activities of the zoo involve a guided tour at the zoo, and chimpanzee experience up close.
