Mabira Forest is a unique ecosystem placed along the Kampala – Jinja highway, it is home to several birds and primate species. This used to be the largest forest in Uganda but due to pressure from him settlements and a need for farmlands. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pickup and Transfer to Mabira Forest
A Salt Holidays company driver/guide will pick you up on this day and transfer you to Mabira Forest in the eastern part of Uganda passing through big towns and small villages, the vast rolling banana and tea plantations is angelic, and the journey takes approximately 3 hours drive to arrive at the destination, stop over en-route at the Sezibwa Falls in Mukono this is one of the great historical sites of the Buganda Kingdom, the river is said to have been born, the gardens and physical display of the site where a great awesome experience, proceeding to Mabira Forest, arriving in time for a hot lunch.
We will later proceed to the Forest for an afternoon ziplining in the forest, there are suspended ropes within the trees for a few kilometers, the adrenaline activity is guided by an experienced guide, he will assist you have the best of your visit to the forest, expect to meet a few animal species and birds.
