 The park receives temperatures ranging between 130°C to 410° C depending on the area elevation. The rest of the year can have rain, some of it very heavy with up to 1,300 mm in the west areas of the park. The dry season lasts from July to October. How to get to Rumanyika-Karagwe National Park

If you choose to fly, you can take a charter flight from nearby Chato and Bukoba airports. These flights will take you to the Ibanda-Kyerwa airstrip

For those preferring to drive, you can get to the park by travelling from Bukoba Town to Murongo, which is about 220 km away. Alternatively, the journey from Chato Town to Murongo is around 327 km.

If you’re coming from Uganda or Rwanda, you can cross the Kikagati border to get to Murongo, or enter from Rwanda through the Rusumo border, heading to Karagwe and then to Murongo.
