Water Activities In Uganda : Uganda has a variety of water bodies which approximately 165 waters which include lakes ,water falls, rivers ,crater lakes , wetlands for example to mention but a few there is Lake Victoria which is the biggest lake in East Africa , river Nile ,lake Albery ,lake Bunyonyi ,lake Kyoga ,lake Mutanda ,lake Edward ,lake George ,lake Kyoga ,lake Kwania ,Kazinga channel river Katonga ,lake Katwe ,Kabaka’s lake ,Owen falls ,river Semliki ,Nkusi river ,Lamia river ,Mayanja river ,Kidepo river ,Kagera river ,Lake Opeta ,Kafu river ,Achwa river ,lake Nabugabo, Sezibwa river ,Lake Wamala ,lake Mburo
And so, on these water bodies, there are a lot of activities that happen there as discussed below
Boat cruising: this is a marine activity that involves staying on a waterbody for extended period of time when the vessel is travelling on water at a steady speed. cruising basically gives leisurely and luxury fun with particular time as given by the specific water body. the cruises take place at the most shores of Lake Victoria like Entebbe, Kalangala, then there is Lake Bunyonyi, lake Mburo, Kazinga Channel and to mention but a few. While cruising visitors get to see the natural beauty of Uganda, interesting landscapes, some wildlife as they enjoy the relaxation bit. while on cruise they can take beautiful videos and pictures to keep as memories.
Bungee jumping: this is one of the most exciting activities done while in Uganda specifically at the source of river Nile in Jinja. most people refer to it as kissing the Nile, this activity a person jumps from the great heights while connected to a large and long elastic cord an you leap over the Nile .is one of most adventurous activities one can opt for while at the source of river Nile.
Water rafting: it is done in the lakeside town of Jinja where the Nile flows out of Lake Victoria. Despite the availability of long tumultuous grades, no experience requires. All the necessary safety precautions and measures in case the boat drowns.

Kayaking on the Nile: this unique activity involves canoeing on the white-water rapids of the amazing River Nile at a slow and calm pace. it also allows an immense exploration of Nile waters, beautiful coastline and temples. the kayaking at the Nile usually takes 2 hours. this canoeing exposes tourists to a beautiful surrounding and landscape around the Nile
tubing the Nile: this is an exciting activity that involve floating down the river on an inflatable tube, this tubing is locally made at Bujagali falls. It is a 2 to 3 hours adventure.
Sport fishing: sports fishing or game fishing is basically done for leisure and pleasure, as an exercise or a competition not for profits or business. Sport fishing happens at lake Victorio, River Nile, River Katonga ,lake Kyoga ,lake Edward ,Lake George ,Lake Bunyonyi ,lake Mburo and many others .
River bugging: river bugging is a controllable, comfortable, thrilling activity like no other. the river bug is a small craft with inflatable tube at each other. there is a unique section where the river bugging happens and it is called kalagala falls.
Jet boating: jet boating at the Nile should be an adventure not to miss, the jet ride races up rapids of 90 kilometres per hour and also allows 360-degree spins, high speed drifting, splashing through the rapids.
swimming: this is the diving in water, it is done for pleasure, leisure, adventure and physical exercises .it is done on numerous shores of Lake Victoria like coco beaches, in Munyonyo at Speke resort, and Kalangala, lake Bunyonyi, river nile they are all have designated swimming activity.
Hydrocyle: this is an interesting activity of riding a bicycle on water bodies. and it is basically done on the shores of Lake Victoria and it is such and adventurous activity.
Water activities are such adventurous things to do while on a Uganda Safari, and Uganda is one of the best destinations for water activities since it has one of the largest and longest water bodies in Africa.
There are more waster activities visitors can do from Aruu falls, ssese islands, Ngamba island tours, boat trips on Lake Mutanda, Nile horse riding, and most of the water activities are basically done at the source of river Nile in Jinja.
The costs are manageable depending on the different nationalities and its cheaper to students and East African residents.
